#StopChildPornPh

The #StopChildPormPh Project is a national online prevention against child pornography and online child sexual abuse and exploitation. This aims to empower the children and youth, their parents/guardians and other child duty-bearers in responding to child online protection issues and problems.

The project is in line with the commitment of the Philippine Government to the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) to prevent and stop all forms of abuse and exploitation against children. The R.A. 9775 or Anti-Child Pornography Act of 2009 provides for the protection of children specifically against child pornography or “any representation, whether visual, audio, or written combination thereof, by electronic, mechanical, digital, optical, magnetic or any other means, of child engaged or involved in real or simulated explicit sexual activities”.

It also promotes inter-agency/organization commitments to fight against child pornography or online child sexual abuse and exploitation. It aims to promote child online protection (COP) through the collaborative efforts of the key agencies and councils for the protection of children which includes the Inter-Agency Council Against Child Pornography (IACACP), Children in Need of Special Protection (CNSP), Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking (IACAT), and the DOJ-Office of the Cybercrime (DOJ-OOC).

It is geared towards provision of relevant and responsive information, communication and education materials on the issue of child pornography as well as the information and communication technology (ICT) and accessible and responsive online reporting hotlines.
